Submission Needs: First class poetry, short stories, short plays by young adult writers from traditional to post modern. Prefer works that reveal something of the human condition. Don't need: Science fiction, fantasy, Harlequin Romance, your first draft.

Description: Description: An online international quarterly of essays, poetry and fiction by teens. New issues every three months. Must be between 13 and 19 to submit.
Guidelines: No simultaneous submissions or work previously (or currently) published on the Internet. We consider pieces prev. published in small print publications. Send as html e-mail. Body of e-mail should have name, e-mail, postal add., date of birth, cover letter, bio. Attach your writing separately as Microsoft Word (.doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf). Max. of one work of fiction, two essays, or five poems at one time.
Rights: Authors retain copyright but relinquish first time publication rights.
Hanging Loose Press -
Description: A literary magazine published since 1966 for adults and young writers who write fiction and poetry.
Guidelines: Up to six poems or one story at a time. We rarely publish nonfiction. We do not accept reviews, simultaneous submissions or submissions by fax or e-mail. Artwork and book manuscripts are by invitation only. Manuscripts must have name, address, SASE.
Payment: All contributors receive a small fee and two copies of the issue in which their work appears.
